Courageous Healing Therapy believes transformative healing doesn’t have to happen in one hour, weekly sessions.
Who has time for that?! Certainly not caregiving, high-functioning women whose schedules are already full with meaningful work they can’t easily just step away from.
I’m Kristen Humiston, a trauma therapist committed to helping women heal deeply and live fully. I specialize in treatment for complex and single-incident traumas, PTSD, betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, spiritual abuse, and navigating life transitions from early adulthood - menopause.
My approach is grounded and relational — rooted in honesty, curiosity, and connection. If you’re looking for a therapist who simply nods, takes notes, and agrees with your every word, I might not be the right fit. I show up fully with you in a collaborative process that goes intentionally deep, honoring both the intensity of what you’ve been through with the space you need to truly heal between sessions.
While I do offer traditional weekly therapy, Courageous Healing was created for those who are ready to get to the roots of their pain — without dragging it on for years and years. Through extended, focused sessions and personalized therapeutic intensives, we gently but directly get to the heart of what’s keeping you stuck. Fewer sessions, more intention — so you can experience real movement without spending months spinning in circles.
