Courageous Healing Therapy was born out of the belief that transformation doesn’t have to happen in one-hour, week-after-week sessions.

Who has time for that?! Certainly not soul-centered, caregiving, high-functioning women whose lives are already full with meaningful work and responsibilities they can’t easily step away from.

I’m Kristen Humiston, a trauma therapist committed to helping women heal deeply and live fully. I specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, spiritual harm, and life transitions from early adulthood through menopause.

My approach is grounded and relational with humor and honest reflection when it’s needed. If you’re looking for a therapist who simply nods, takes notes, and agrees with everything you say, I might not be the right fit. I show up fully with you in a collaborative process that goes intentionally deep—honoring both the intensity of what you’ve experienced and the space you need to heal between sessions.

While I do offer traditional weekly therapy, Courageous Healing was created for women ready to get to the roots of their pain—without dragging it out for years. Through extended sessions and personalized therapy intensives, we move gently but directly toward the heart of what’s keeping you stuck. Fewer sessions. More intention. Real movement forward.
